Personality: First and foremost is Dickon's love of nature, which is rivalled by no-one. He has said many times that if he could, he would live out on the moors with the animals.
Dickon is kind, caring, and can usually sense when a person is troubled.

Dickon also has ten other brothers and sisters.
History: Dickon grew up on the Missel Moors of Yorkshire, in a small cottage near Misslethwaite Manor. He loves animals, and is able to interact with them almost as well as if he were one himself, and has always spent the majority of his days on the moors, talking to the animals and playing his wooden pipe.
During his time on the moors, he gained many animal friends, including a crow named Soot, a moor pony named Jump, and two squirrels named Nut and Shell. He has also made friends with foxes and sheep.
When Mary Lennox came to Misslethwaite Manor after her parents were killed by the cholera epidemic in India, Dickon, who had turned 12 shortly before Mary arrived, befriended her and her cousin Colin Craven.
Together, they brought a garden which was locked up back to life. It has since been opened once again for everyone, but Dickon and Mary decided to keep the name "The Secret Garden".
Other Information: Dickon is extremely close to Mary, spending most of his time with her, either in The Garden or on the moors.
